Letter From the Chef

Throughout my career as a chef, I’ve come to realize that executing a perfect dish has everything to do with the quality of ingredients I’m using. (A little heat from chiles doesn’t hurt!) Cooking on the Monterey Peninsula has made finding those great ingredients a whole lot easier.

We live in this very special place that’s home to an amazing amount of extraordinary produce and every season, we get to choose from a cornucopia of locally-grown treats. Whether it’s flavorful greens, the squash and corn of winter or the summer’s tomatoes, cucumbers and berries, the Central Coast produces the world’s best fruits and vegetables. The toughest part is figuring out what flavors to use!

At Rio Grill, we shop with local growers, farmers, ranchers and fishermen for as many of our ingredients as possible to ensure the freshest possible fare for your event. We are dedicated to providing bold flavors, the freshest ingredients and the most skillful preparation of your meals to ensure a wonderful experience for you and your guests.
