The Pacific Grove Good Old Days Festival Is Back with a Bang!

Where will you be on 7th May 2022? At home sleeping? Hanging out with your buddies? Well, if you don’t want to spend the night alone, here’s a plug:

Welcome to “America’s Last Hometown!” here in Monterey County for an old-fashioned celebration premiering the Pacific Grove Good Old Days Festival.

This year’s event is big. The celebration showcases a parade that starts on Saturday at 10 am with over 100 entries, including live bands, a classic car show, a quilt show, community groups, and more.

There will also be family activities, both for adults and kids alike. You’ll find a lot of fun family activities; kids can ride a pony or a horse at Jewell Park or the petting zoo.

Not to forget, there will be entertainment exhibits for the entire family at the Family Fair at Jewell Park that Saturday.

Want some Live entertainment? There will be over 60 bands performing live, including the snarky cats and Stu Heydon Blues Band.

If arts and crafts interest you, you simply can’t afford to miss this event. There will be over 200 vendors from around the nation showcasing their work.

There will also be over 30 food vendors for the foodies like me; you’ll be sorted in every way.

Talking about Food, want to grab a bite at an Award-Winning Restaurant before you head out to the Good Old Days Festival?

Check-in at the Rio Grill Restaurant

This is one of Carmel’s best restaurants located at one of the most celebrated drives- Highway 1, just at the crossroad of Rio Road and the corner of Highway 1.

Managed by Coastal Root’s Hospitality, Rio Grill offers the best of southwest cuisines with a mix of the most creative American foods.

We have fresh plates of seafood, steak, vegetarian dishes, salads, and more, all made in-house. We have an upbeat lounge, and the restaurant itself provides comfortable seating.

You can also try our signature margaritas. We have quite a variety; most people’s favorite is the Venus Flytrap; serrano infused tequila with hibiscus syrup, lime, and tajin-salt rim. You can never have enough of this.

So, for the weekend of the Good Old Days Event, make reservations at Rio Grill today, and enjoy fine dining with your family and friends.

See you there!
